Antonio Baltazar Torres

Antonio Baltazar Torres

Description

Baltazar TORRES’ small-format works deal with social and political issues and problems. He creates small worlds made of wood and lead that show hostile urban environments. In addition, the viewer himself becomes part of the work through integrated mirrors. The pieces invite you to look closely in order to perceive every little detail. He meditates on themes such as urbanisation, social impoverishment and isolation. Baltazar TORRES’ works are shown in various collections around the world, for example in the Institut Valencia d’Art Modern or in the Fundación Ars Teor Etica in Costa Rica.
